Ping integrates with ClickUp to automatically sync your meeting notes as ClickUp Docs. When a meeting is processed, Ping pushes a fully formatted summary — including key takeaways, questions & answers, and action items — directly into your ClickUp workspace.
What Gets Synced
When a meeting is processed by Ping, the following is pushed to ClickUp as a formatted Doc:
- Meeting summary — AI-generated overview of the conversation
- Questions & Answers — Key Q&A extracted from the meeting
- Accounting & Tax Principles — Relevant principles discussed
- Entities Mentioned — People, companies, and organizations referenced
- Category Analysis — Structured breakdown of meeting topics
- Meeting metadata — Date, time, participants, and a link back to the meeting in Ping
ClickUp is used for meeting notes only. If you also want to sync action items as tasks, consider connecting a task manager like Asana or Monday.com.
Who Can Connect ClickUp
Only organization owners (admins) can connect and disconnect the ClickUp integration. If you don't see the Connect button, ask your organization admin to set it up for you.
Once connected, all team members can view the sync status on their meetings.
How to Connect ClickUp
- Go to Settings from the left sidebar
- Scroll to the Integrations section
- Find the ClickUp card and click Connect
- You'll be redirected to ClickUp to authorize Ping
- Grant the requested permissions and you'll be redirected back to Ping
- That's it — ClickUp is now connected to your organization
How Meeting Notes Are Synced
Ping supports both automatic and manual syncing of meeting notes to ClickUp.
Automatic Sync
Once ClickUp is connected, meeting notes are synced automatically after each meeting is processed. Here's exactly how it works:
- Ping processes the meeting and generates the AI summary
- Ping looks at the meeting's participant emails and matches them to your clients — it checks if any participant's email belongs to a contact that is linked to a client in Ping
- For each matched client that has a per-client ClickUp target configured (set up in the client's Integrations tab), the note is synced directly to that client's configured ClickUp location
- If any matched clients don't have a per-client ClickUp target, or if no clients matched from the participant list at all, the note is also synced to your organization's default landing zone (a "Ping Assistant" space with a "Meeting Notes" folder, created automatically)
- If every matched client already has a per-client ClickUp target configured, the landing zone sync is skipped — the note only goes to the client-specific locations
In short: For a meeting note to automatically land in a specific ClickUp folder or doc, two things need to be true: the client must have a ClickUp target configured in their Integrations tab, and a contact linked to that client must be a participant in the meeting. Without that setup, notes fall back to the org-wide landing zone.
No action is required from you after setup — notes appear in ClickUp shortly after the meeting summary is ready.
Manual Sync
You can also manually push a meeting note to ClickUp at any time:
- Open any meeting from your Meetings page
- Look for the Sync to ClickUp button
- Click it to push the note to your configured ClickUp location
This is useful if you want to re-sync a note or push an older meeting that was processed before ClickUp was connected.
Configuring Per-Client Sync Targets
By default, all meeting notes go to your organization's landing zone in ClickUp. But you can configure specific ClickUp locations for each client so their meeting notes are organized automatically.
To set up a client-specific target:
- Go to the Clients page and select a client
- Navigate to the Integrations tab
- Under ClickUp, click Configure
- Browse your ClickUp workspace and select a target location
- Choose a sync mode:
- Folder — Creates a new Doc for each meeting inside the selected folder
- Doc — Adds each meeting note as a new page inside an existing Doc
- Page — Adds each meeting note as a sub-page under a specific page
Only organization owners can configure per-client sync targets.
Disconnecting ClickUp
If you need to disconnect ClickUp:
- Go to Settings then Integrations
- Find the ClickUp card
- Click Disconnect
This removes the connection for your entire organization. Existing notes already synced to ClickUp will remain there, but no new notes will be synced.
Frequently Asked Questions

No. ClickUp is connected at the organization level — one connection shared by the whole team. The admin who connects ClickUp determines which workspace is used.
They go to your organization's default landing zone: a "Ping Assistant" space with a "Meeting Notes" folder. This is created automatically the first time a note is synced.
