Availability may depend on your Ping plan, role, integrations, or beta access.
Library is the shared home for files created or uploaded in Ping. Depending on the features available to your firm, it can contain:
- Proposal briefs.
- PowerPoint proposal decks.
- Video messages and uploaded videos.
- Step-by-step SOPs.
Library only shows files you are allowed to view. A file's own sharing setting can be narrower than the organization.
Open a file
- Select Library in Ping.
- Open a folder, if needed.
- Select a file card.
Each file type has its own viewer and controls. For example, a video can include playback, transcript, comments, chapters, and sharing. An SOP opens as a sequence of captioned steps.
Create folders
- Open Library or the folder where the new folder belongs.
- Select New folder.
- Enter a name.
- Save.
Folders can be nested up to four levels deep.
Use the item menu to rename or move a folder. When you delete a folder, Ping moves its contents up one level instead of deleting the files inside it.
Add a video
Select Record to capture a screen or camera in the browser. Select Upload to add an existing video.
The new video is saved in the folder you currently have open. It appears after upload and processing finish.
Ping Desktop recordings can also open directly in Library:
- Capture creates video messages.
- SOPs creates step-by-step documents.
Find proposal files
Ask Ping saves generated proposal briefs and PowerPoint decks in Library.
- A proposal brief opens as an editable document.
- A proposal deck opens with a presentation preview and download option.
Use the file's Library link from the Ask Ping response to open it directly.
Organize files
Open a file's menu to rename or move it. Delete appears only when your access allows the action.
Deleting a video or SOP removes the artifact, not only its Library card. Confirm the item before deleting it.
Control access
Videos and SOPs have their own sharing controls.
Internal access can be limited to the creator, specific people, a linked client team, or the organization, depending on file type. A separately created public link can allow external viewing even when internal access is restricted.
Review and revoke public links from the file's Share dialog.
