Use the Ignition integration to bring your service catalog and client agreements into Ping. Once connected, Ping can use your Ignition data to power revenue detection, service views, and agreement-to-client matching.

What Syncs from Ignition?

Ping syncs two kinds of data from Ignition:

  1. Services - your Ignition service catalog, including service names, descriptions, billing mode, pricing, tax details, and active status.
  2. Agreements - agreed services for each client, including the client, contact, service list, stage, dates, billing details, and link back to Ignition when available.

Ignition agreement states are shown in Ping as:

Synced Ignition rows stay owned by Ignition. To change the source data, update it in Ignition and sync again.

Before You Start

You need:

  1. An active Ping account with access to your firm's workspace.
  2. Permission to manage integrations in Ping (Provisioner role). If you do not see the Connect button, ask your admin to connect Ignition.
  3. Access to the Ignition account you want to connect.

Only admins or provisioners can connect or disconnect the Ignition integration for the workspace.

Connect Ignition

  1. In Ping, go to Settings.
  2. Open the Integrations tab.
  3. Find Ignition.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. Complete the Ignition authorization flow.
  6. After authorization succeeds, Ping returns you to Settings and shows Ignition as Connected.

If the connection expires later, return to Settings > Integrations and click Reconnect on the Ignition card.

Sync Services and Agreements

After Ignition is connected, you can sync from either revenue view:

From Services

  1. Go to Revenue > Services > Templates.
  2. Click Sync from Ignition.
  3. Wait for the sync to finish.
  4. Review the services table for rows with Ignition as the source.

From Agreements

  1. Go to Revenue > Services > Agreements.
  2. Click Sync from Ignition.
  3. Wait for the sync to finish.
  4. Review the agreements table for rows with Ignition as the source.

The same sync brings in both services and agreements, so you can start it from whichever page you are already using.

Large Ignition Accounts

Large Ignition accounts may take longer to sync because Ignition limits Partner API request volume. Ping automatically handles this by moving large syncs into the background and pacing requests.

While a background sync is running:

  • The Sync from Ignition button may stay disabled.
  • You may see a message that Ping is retrieving your Ignition data in the background.
  • You can leave the page and come back later.
  • Ping resumes large syncs in chunks until the data is complete.

Avoid repeatedly reconnecting or clicking sync while a sync is already in progress.

Link Agreements to Ping Clients

After agreements sync:

  1. Go to Revenue > Services > Agreements.
  2. Use the Needs client link filter to review unlinked agreements.
  3. Click Auto-link clients to match agreements to Ping clients by contact email.
  4. Manually review any ambiguous or unmatched agreements.

Linked agreements help Ping understand which services each client has agreed to.

Troubleshooting

I do not see the Ignition Connect button

  • Confirm you are on Settings > Integrations.
  • Ask your workspace admin to connect Ignition.
  • If your trial has expired, upgrade before connecting new integrations.

Ignition says Connected, but I do not see services or agreements

  • Go to Revenue > Services > Templates or Revenue > Services > Agreements.
  • Click Sync from Ignition.
  • Refresh the page after the sync finishes.
  • Check the source filter and choose Ignition.

Sync is taking a long time

Large accounts can sync in the background to stay within Ignition's API limits. Leave the page open or return later. The sync button is disabled while Ping is already retrieving data.

Sync fails or asks me to reconnect

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Find Ignition.
  3. Click Reconnect.
  4. Run Sync from Ignition again.

Some agreements are not linked to clients

Ping auto-links by contact email. Agreements stay unlinked when the email does not match a Ping client, when the email matches more than one client, or when the agreement has no usable contact email. Use Needs client link to review these manually.
