Getting Started with Revenue Intelligence
Ping’s Revenue Intelligence helps you identify new revenue opportunities by analyzing your services, agreements, and client conversations. This guide walks you through how to set it up correctly so you can get the most value from it.
Access to Revenue Intelligence
Revenue Intelligence must be available for your firm before the Revenue tab appears. Within an eligible firm:
- An Owner sees Revenue opportunities across the firm unless their Revenue access has been removed.
- A Client Owner sees opportunities for the clients they own.
- A Leader sees opportunities tied to services in the Org Units they lead and their nested Org Units.
Removing Revenue access from an eligible person hides the tab. Restoring it returns the scope they already qualify for; it does not make someone an Owner, Client Owner, or Leader, and it does not add a client assignment. Revenue access does not by itself let someone open a client, meeting, or email.
Step 1: Access the Revenue Tab
An Owner can open Revenue → Getting Started to follow the setup process step by step.
This setup ensures that Revenue Intelligence has the right data to accurately detect opportunities.
Step 2: Upload Your Services
Your services are the foundation of Revenue Intelligence. These represent what you offer to clients. Only an Owner can set up or change firm-wide services and agreements.
Follow these steps:
- Go to the Services section.
- Choose one of the following upload methods:
- Upload via CSV using a provided template.
- Connect your account via Anchor for a faster setup.
- If using Anchor, follow the prompts to connect and retrieve your data.
- If needed, use the provided resources to get your API credentials.
Important: Add Clear Descriptions
Each service should include a detailed description.
- Titles help you identify the service.
- Descriptions help the AI understand what the service includes.
If your services don’t have descriptions, update them in Anchor or your CSV file before continuing.
Step 3: Import Your Agreements
Next, an Owner uploads your client agreements, which show what services are currently being provided.
Follow these steps:
- Go to the Agreements section.
- Upload your agreements using a CSV file.
- Use the available template to format your data correctly.
At this time, Ping does not support direct document parsing, so all agreements must be uploaded via CSV.
Once uploaded, Ping can begin analyzing your service coverage.
Step 4: Run Detection on Meetings
After your services and agreements are in place, you can start exploring Revenue Intelligence.
Follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Detection tab.
- Select a meeting you can already access.
- Click Run Detection.
Revenue access does not by itself grant access to the meeting or any of its client emails.
Ping will analyze the meeting and identify:
- Potential revenue opportunities
- Services that were discussed but are not currently included in the agreement
This gives you a preview of how Revenue Intelligence works.
Step 5: Enable Automatic Detection
Once you understand how detection works, the next step is to fully activate it.
Follow these steps:
- Return to the Getting Started page.
- Click to Book a Customer Success Call.
- Meet with the team to confirm your setup.
After activation:
- Detection will run automatically in the background
- Ping will continuously monitor meetings and emails
- New revenue opportunities will be surfaced without manual input
