The Slack integration in Ping sends you an AI-generated meeting recap as a direct message in Slack after each meeting is processed. This keeps you in the loop on client conversations without leaving the tools you already use.

What You Get

Once connected, Ping will automatically send you a direct message in Slack after each meeting is processed. Each message includes:

• Meeting title, date, and duration

• AI-generated summary of the meeting's key discussion points

• Direct link to the full meeting details in Ping

These messages are sent as DMs from the Ping app in your Slack workspace. There is nothing to configure after connecting. Every processed meeting will automatically generate a recap.

How to Connect

Follow these steps:

1. In Ping, go to Settings and click Integrations.

2. Find the Slack card and click Connect.

3. You will be redirected to Slack's authorization screen. Review the permissions and click Allow.

4. You will be taken back to Ping, and your Slack card will now show a green Connected status.

The next time Ping finishes processing a meeting, you will receive a recap in Slack.

How to Disconnect

Follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings and click Integrations

2. Find the Slack card and click Disconnect.

Once disconnected, you will stop receiving Slack notifications immediately. Your meeting data in Ping is not affected. You can reconnect at any time.

Good to Know

Each user connects individually.

The Slack integration is per-user, not per-organization. Each team member who wants Slack recaps needs to connect their own account from Settings and Integrations.

Recaps are sent as direct messages only.

Ping sends meeting summaries to you as a DM in Slack. It does not post to channels. This keeps your recaps private and avoids noise in shared spaces.

Notifications are fully automatic.

There is no need to choose which meetings get a Slack recap. Every meeting that Ping processes will send one. If you prefer not to receive them, simply disconnect the integration.

Slack notifications work alongside email.

Connecting Slack does not replace any other notifications. You will continue to receive email recaps as usual. Slack is an additional channel.

Available on paid plans.

The Slack integration is available to users on a paid Ping plan.

Minimal permissions required.

Ping only requests permission to send you messages. It cannot read your Slack messages, access your channels, or modify your workspace in any way.

Troubleshooting

I connected but I am not getting messages.

Slack recaps are sent after Ping finishes processing a meeting. If your meeting was recent, it may still be processing. Check the meeting in Ping. If it shows a completed summary, the Slack message should arrive shortly.

I uninstalled the Ping app from Slack.

If the Ping app is removed from your Slack workspace, messages will stop being delivered. You will need to reconnect from Settings and Integrations to re-authorize.
